Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin
is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes
continues to be a mystery, or does it? During the past two years we have seen diabetic patients reversed their disease
progression and many reduce or eliminate medication.
At the clinic
of Naturopathy we have had clinical success in reversing type II diabetes through the use of liver detoxification and metabolism
stimulation. Using clinical techniques we have successfully reversed insulin dependent type II diabetes.
Additionally, no medication was used during these treatment programs. Our goal in treating diabetes is to fully reverse
the condition and allow the body to regain its natural health.
There are 20.8 million children and adults in the
United States, or 7% of the population, who have diabetes. While an estimated 14.6 million have been diagnosed with diabetes,
unfortunately, 6.2 million people (or nearly one-third) are unaware that they have the disease.
In order to determine whether or not a patient has pre-diabetes or diabetes, health care providers
conduct a Fasting Plasma Glucose Test (FPG) or an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT). Either test can be used to diagnose
pre-diabetes or diabetes. The American Diabetes Association recommends the FPG because it is easier, faster, and less expensive
to perform.
With the FPG test, a fasting blood glucose level between
100 and 125 mg/dl signals pre-diabetes. A person with a fasting blood glucose level of 126 mg/dl or higher has diabetes.
In the OGTT test, a person's blood glucose level is measured after
a fast and two hours after drinking a glucose-rich beverage. If the two-hour blood glucose level is between 140 and 199 mg/dl,
the person tested has pre-diabetes. If the two-hour blood glucose level is at 200 mg/dl or higher, the person tested has diabetes.
Treatment Success:
FYI: Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas. Lack of insulin
causes the blood sugar levels to increase above normal levels. This is due to sugar not being able to be absorbed from
the blood into the cells. The result, high blood sugar, low cell sugar. The sugar that should be used as
fuel in the cell can not get in because insulin is not available.
Insulin and Sugar: How
it works
For sugar to get into the cell it must be joined with insulin.
Without insulin sugar cannot enter
into the cell.
Insulin------ Blood
Sugar++++ Blood
Insulin-------++++++sugar
Available to the cell
Lack of the hormone insulin means that a person has an overload of blood sugar----------
But no Insulin++++++ to escort it into the cells of the body.
The root of the issue is the cells that make
Insulin++++++
These cells are located in the pancreas (Isolets of Langerhans cell)
Why are these cells
no longer making insulin++++++?
We have found several underlying connections:
1. Digestive Problems
2.
Poor Enzyme Reactions
3. Cellular Congestion
Each of these conditions are extremely complex. However,
if the conditions are reversed. The cells begin to produce insulin once again.
