Hypothyroid currently affects over 5 million people within America. Hypothyroid
is expected to be more common than currently expected. 1 out of every 10 women are estimated to have a dysfunctional
thyroid condition. Although it is not yet known why this condition is so prevalent, the significant amount of chlorine
and fluoride may be a missing link. Signs and symptoms of hypothyroid include: Fatigue
Weakness
Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight
Coarse, dry hair
Dry, rough pale skin
Hair loss
Cold intolerance (can't tolerate the cold like those around you)
Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches
Constipation
Depression
Irritability
Memory loss
Abnormal menstrual cycles
Decreased libido We have been successfully treating patients
with hypothyroid conditions for the past 3 years. We combine several treatment techniques including:
Iodine Therapy Chelation
Therapy
T3 Supplementation We believe that there may be a connection between taking a synthetic medication
(Like Synthroid) and a possible auto immune reaction that could occur in the thyroid gland. An example of this reaction
could be identified as a common thyroid issue know as Hashimoto's disease.
Hashimoto's disease causes inflammation
of your thyroid.
Hashimoto's disease causes inflammation of your thyroid, a butterfly-shaped gland located at
the base of your neck, just below your Adam's apple. Although it weighs less than an ounce, the thyroid gland has an enormous
effect on your health. It's part of your endocrine system, which is made up of several glands and tissues that produce
hormones. These chemical messengers coordinate many of your body's activities, from digestion to metabolism to reproduction. Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune disorder in which your immune system inappropriately attacks your
thyroid gland, causing damage to your thyroid cells and upsetting the balance of chemical reactions in your body. The inflammation
caused by Hashimoto's disease, also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, often leads to an underactive thyroid gland
(hypothyroidism). Hashimoto's disease is the most common cause of hypothyroidism in the United States. Doctors use blood tests of thyroid function to detect Hashimoto's disease. Treatment of Hashimoto's
disease with thyroid hormone replacement medication usually is simple and effective.
