Nutritonal Defeciencies:

The Common Link to Many Health Issues

Through the past several years of practice I have come to two distinct conclusions regarding American health issues.

CONCLUSION #1

First,  I believe that the majority of health issues are the direct result of nutritional deficiencies.

Second,  I believe that the majority of these nutritional deficiencies are the result of digestive dysfunction rather than lack of nutrients.

Lastly,  I believe that digestive function (the only means to which the human body can receive nourishment) can be rebalanced with the addition of stomach acids and digestive enzymes.

Note:  Digestive difficulties are not always obvious.  In fact, in many cases digestive changes are described as increased gas or bloating, constipation or loose stools, acid reflux and in some cases not symptomatic at all.

CONCLUSION #2

First,  I believe that the liver becomes dysfunctional as a result of poor digestion.  In turn leading to electrolyte congestion.  This is identified when cholesterol, blood pressure, and body fat begins to elevate.

Secondly,  I believe that the liver must be stimulated (re-started) to achieve proper nutritional health.  Dietary and nutritional changes are not enough to restore liver function.

An individual may have a perfectly balanced diet and still experience nutritional deficiencies.

THE DIGESTIVE APPROACH TO HEALTH.

An individual may have a perfectly balanced diet including minerals, vitamins and all nutrients needed for optimal health, yet still experience nutritional deficiencies.

Food is processed in the stomach and intestines.

·        The stomach produces a strong digestive acid.  The acid breaks the food down into very small pieces and particles.

·        The intestine further breakdown the food by adding digestive enzymes and bile.  (enzymes are produced by the pancreas and bile by the liver)

·        Now the food has been reduced so that it can be absorbed into the blood and used by the cells of the body.

If the stomach is not producing adequate amounts of acid, food will remain unprocessed.

If the intestines are not producing the proper amounts of digestive enzymes, again the food will remain unprocessed.

If either function (stomach or intestinal digestion) fail to function properly, nutritional deficiencies will occur and health issues will begin to form.

Our physicians rely on 3 specific tests to determine if the digestive system is working properly.

H2 testing also known as Breath Hydrogen Testing identifies intestinal deficiencies.

Blood testing accurately identifies abnormal chemical changes.

Diagnostic ultrasound provides a visual look at organs often affected by nutritional deficiencies.

If indicated "based on individual cases"  testing is provided in the office the same day of the initial visit.

FAQ: Are these tests covered by my health insurance?

A:  All testing proceedures provided at our office are covered by all standard health insurance plans.
